Celebrate Global Warming
A record high of 81° on March 22, 2012 in Belfast, Maine inspired Project M North to make some fun in the sun and “celebrate global warming.”
Considering the average temperatures for March are normally around 42 degrees, Project M North celebrated the warm weather by having a BBQ and inviting the town to come and enjoy free lemonade and hot dogs on the grill.
They asked locals, “Do you want to stop global warming?” They put together a short video of the community’s response to that question.
One week later, the temperature dropped to 30°. The M’ers recreated the public BBQ, this time with hot chocolate and S’mores.
