Mycelium’s
Compass Project

How might we encourage young, passionate leaders to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness both in their personal and professional lives?

I co-facilitated Mycelium’s week long workshop called Compass Project in Asheville, NC. During the first two days, the seven “navigators” co-created and develop an “operating manual” unique to each of them to deepen their self-awareness.
On the third day, I jumped in and helped them understand how they can apply their creative talents towards their own projects and social enterprises. I introduced them to the Design Thinking (Wrong) process. Once ideas were generated, we rapidly prototyped a concept called “Do. True. You.”, a social initiative exploring how to create physical and interpersonal spaces that foster authentic conversations.
