A glimpse into how I see our world, both the challenges and possibilities

A World's Fair for climate

Wait Why?
Wait, why is climate week only a week and mainly happening in major cities?

Maybe?
Maybe it's possible to support any city and town in producing their own Climate Week?

What if?
What if the biggest event producers partnered up with climate organizations and local municipalities to produce an open source playbook that covers planning, marketing, and other logistics to make producing these events easy and affordable?

Try This.
Have municipalities and local climate organizations create a month-long series of workshops, panels, talks, and training sessions highlighting local and regional climate solutions so that people know what climate-forward jobs are available to them.

Try This
Produce a multi-day workshop experience to nurture collaboration, research sharing, and strategic partnerships. Through creative exercises, we'll all come up with ideas, picking a few to design and implement using the Climate Designers community.

Try This.
Work with design leaders and climate experts to create an experimental curriculum for a four-year design school to then be presented as a draft at a design education conference for feedback.

International Panel on Climate Design

Wait… Why?
Wait, why isn't there some sort of official standards, protocols, or policies when it comes to the design industry?

Maybe it's possible to
Maybe it's possible to create benchmarks, guard rails, and goals within every industry that is aligned with governmental climate initiatives?

What if...
What if we created a design-led governing body that works directly with the UN and other key climate institutions?

Try This
Bring together top design experts to share the state of climate-focused work being done within their specialty to create standards and goals to then be dispersed among designers in that space.
