A quick side note regarding my social impact work
I’ve been a part of Project M since 2009. Most of the work you see on this page is from Project M.
It’s no lie that Project M shaped my professional career. I’ve had the privilege of working with the most talented people, now friends, from all around the globe.
John took a chance on me and allowed me to help him grow Project M at his side. Project M has expanded my ideas of what design can do and the positive impact it can have on the world.
I’ve learned the importance of incorporating human-centric design approaches in my work as well as building empathy around the people I’m designing with (not for).
A few takeaways from Project M:
+ The skill of asking hard, important questions
+ The importance of community engagement
+ Working with little to no resources/small budgets
I can go on and on with what I’ve learned from M.
I’ve had the pleasure of facilitating countless Think Wrong workshops to a wide range of people—from middle school students to C-Level executives. Along with creative facilitation and design strategy, Project M also exposed me to social entrepreneurship which has been a valuable skill as a designer.
I’m still active in Project M. As an advisor and co-facilitator, I try my best to pay it forward to the next person who is hell bent on creating positive change in the world.
